You know what people love? Etsy.
You know what people who are planning a wedding love? Extra-special handmade touches. And Etsy.
Since apparently we’re all fans of Etsy, I’d like to offer you a few round-ups to show you what’s out there. This week: Cold weather wedding accessories.
The weather took quite the turn here in Michigan this week. Snow. In my yard, people. IN MY YARD. I’m not a fan of snow, and I’m not a fan of the cold in any capacity, and yet … I had winter wedding. I know, I know.
When the temperature plummeted, I thought about all the cold-weather weddings ahead and the wedding parties that are planning to brave the elements — if only for a few minutes — to get some beautiful photos in the splendor that is a winter scene. Here are a few of my favorite things to keep you cute and (relatively) warm while still managing to keep your wedding duds exposed.
1. A faux fur wrap
As classy as can be, especially with a nice detail like a sparkly brooch. Why not have your bridal party wear them as well?
2. A faux fur muff
I find these so elegant and classic. Keep your hands warm and look extra-fancy? Yes, please.
3. White gloves
Obviously you could go a lot of different ways on this one, depending on the look you are going for and how casual the affair might be, but something about these leather gloves just called to me.
4. Faux fur ear muffs
If you don’t mind the possibility of messing up your hair or want to go all out with the outdoor look, these are made for you. They would also be great for a flowergirl who might not be as pleased to be outdoors in her flowergirl dress. These even have a hint of lace!
5. Faux fur hat
If earmuffs aren’t your thing, perhaps a hat is? My dad has a faux fur hat we all call his Russian hat, and DANG that thing is warm. You could go outdoors in only that and it will hold the heat in like you wouldn’t believe.
These are my favorites. What would you add to the list?
